This is Marleaus second nomination for the trophy, having finished third in voting in 2005-06. The Sharks veteran scored 33 goals, marking his seventh 30-goal season in the past nine. Marleau played in all 82 games averaging 20:31 minutes, racking up just 18 penalty minutes. OReilly has never before been named a finalist for an individual NHL award. OReilly was called for just one minor penalty all season, becoming just the second player in NHL history to receive two or fewer PIM over 80 or more games.
